Product looks great and I've read all the reviews but haven't seen anything about the handle coming loose on first use. not very happy

TERRIBLE! Don't waste money. It didn't even touch the accumulation on the pool tiles. waste of money for sure. The photo was taken after I used it and I walked the whole block.

It seemed such a great idea: adding a pen to the pumice stone seemed like it would make it easier to use. But it arrived in a large envelope and the handle was broken and I could see that the basic design didn't offer much hope that the handle would stick to the pumice stone very well.

Came with a broken pumice stone handle. Upon closer inspection I discovered they had taped it to the plastic handle and the pumice stone had just broken off and was therefore unusable. This pumice stone was not strong enough to use in my pool. One swipe on my cast puddle and it was gone about an inch. I used it all within 10 minutes. I will not buy again. Don't waste money

This descriptor is useful. As others have said, the stone is very soft and breaks down very quickly - the smaller chunky sticks I buy work much better. Also, the stone tends to pull away from the glued handle about 2/3 of the way, at which point you'll need to rework by hand. Not the worst thing in the world since you have to start by hand with every other product, but they still have to do a few notches on the back or whatever to hold the pumice better than a sloppy single bead of glue.
