Absolutely worth the money, we have one that is a decade old and we’re still using it. Liked it so much we bought a 2nd one for our new pup! We have 2 Labrador retrievers about 65-70lbs. The handle is so sturdy which is good to lift our labs in & out of the boat. They’re slim fitting so the dogs don’t mind wearing them (they still run around in them) and the best part is that they keep my dogs afloat which is their primary job. Don’t give it a 2nd thought, buy them!

I bought the older style of the Ruffwear Float Coat in a Medium for another dog years ago and now that my current dog is grown, we bought the new style in a Large. Bought this product for our labrador, she needs knee surgery , and the doctors didn’t want her jumping into the pool , but also getting out all the time, just to jump back in . This supports my 10 month old Lhasa Apso puppy in the water for her physiotherapy sessions to exercise her leg after surgery. Very happy with the product. (Bought a second one for the other puppy so they can safely play with us in the pool together). There are cheaper items out there but this one holds their heads and faces out of the water and supports their little bodies so no fear of sinking for them. Size XS was exactly right for them.

They look great. I bought 2 of these for my labs so they can be more safe out on the water. Their chest is 29" in diameter so I thought the mediums would fit. Though I could have made them fit by adjusting the straps, it would have left a portion of their belly exposed and not covered by the life vest, which would seem to hinder floatation and also allow for rubbing of straps on their belly or things getting caught. This unnecessarily expensive life jacket is somehow still worth the money.When we go to water that isn’t our pool, I always put a life jacket on my dog. I take my 90 lbs dog swimming and boating all of the time and this is the first life jacket that has genuinely been able to float him without restricting the movement of his legs! Absolutely love this life jacket for our doggo! We have a mini Australian Shepherd 38 lbs and she measures as a Ruffwear Small. Absolutely worth the money! Made well. Boxers are front heavy so this vest was just perfect! Kept their heads up high. Only recommendation is if you are right at the end of the girth mark get sizr down. My boys girth was 32 so I got a medium! You won't be sorry for spending the money on these!
