💧 LASCO 15-1623 PVC Hose Adapter 3/4" Female Hose, 3/4" PVC Pipe Glue Connection Review

Unfortunately, this product either doesn't flow well if not tightened enough, or loosens at the joint if tightened a little. Literally falls apart. I want it to be just one solid piece.

I bought two of these to make my own PVC sprinkler. Both failed within an hour. The rotating part releases after applying water pressure. I've built two other sprinklers that work fine, but I used the Orbit PVC pad on them.

My PVC sprinkler did not stay connected to my hose because the fitting that screws into the hose was worn out. I couldn't find the plug in the major supply centers so after weeks of searching I decided to give Revain a try. Well, not only did I find the connector, but it was of better quality than in the past. Raven saved the day!

Without any information on the product packaging, it is difficult to say what the manufacturer expects. The rotary part can be easily removed without any effort. And I tried to put it back in, but it didn't matter. It still flies out with the slightest pull on the hose. And then the mounting screw broke. Really useless and cheaply made, especially considering the price. Disappointed as I have already glued the PVC and now have to redo it. I was surprised that LASCO did that.

This PVC adapter failed immediately. The fact that it has a swivel on the side of the female garden hose thread would help if it allowed the washer to seal fully. The part is joined by compression, so with a little pressure from the hose screwed into the threaded side and the pressure of household water (50psi in my area) the part quickly broke. My advice is to stick with the stronger part that doesn't pivot. This almost ruined my project as it had to be glued in place.

After a long search and failure I have decided to buy my own lawn watering device (not shown) (shown) with 1 inch PVC pipe (ID=1", OD= 1 ). 1/4"), end cap and this. I figured the straight end would have a 3/4" ID and a 1" OD that would match the other end. It turned out to be almost the same size as a 1" pipe, so I used a coupler to connect the two. Maybe they mean you can glue a 3/4" diameter pipe to it (OD = 1"), but not everyone is familiar with that kind of size, but it's almost perfect…

As others have noted this fitting is not as strong as it should be and leaks easily. I tried using it in a home pressure situation where it needed to hold around 60psi. It failed miserably. I would NOT recommend this for normal home static pressure (30-70 psi). It will likely work in negative pressure systems like drip irrigation systems etc, but don't expect it to draw much or hold the pressure.
