As advertised - Code Readers & Scan Tools

Worked to reset the service on my 2013 Porsche Boxster (981.1) which is why I bought it. Didn't have to update any software or anything like that. Better than spending over $250 on a competitor or paying a dealer that much for a simple oil change. Well designed and easy to use.

Pros
  • Code Readers & Scan Tools
Cons
  • Big and Bulky

The best buy I could ask for

The best buy I could ask for. The newer Dodge Durango didn't have an oil reset, but then again if you only have to press the tab three times with the engine off, but with the key on you don't really need a scanner. Works like a charm, faster than my $3,000 store bought latch scanner and I don't have to wait to use my C-Reader 7.

Pros
  • Tools and Equipment
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Fake products?

This is a counterfeit product. The update sites from the supplied manual, www.x431.com or www.cnlaunch.com, are Chinese sites that are blocked by my antivirus software (Avast) and Norton Safe Web considers these sites unsafe. I used a secure computer to log into the sites and the specified update websites do not exist. Do not buy from this seller. As far as I know there are only a few authorized resellers in the US including NAPA and Mac Tools. Visit the Launch USA website for more information.

Pros
  • Diagnostic, test and measurement tools
Cons
  • unreliable
