They are so soft I love the material. As recommended, I took the medium size, although for most things the small definitely fits me. I bought them to lounge around the house. Although they are very soft, I think they are a bit tight around my stomach when lounging. I have an athletic build. So if you have an hourglass figure, this may not be a good fit. I've bought and returned tons of bike shorts and these are THE BEST! I have an olive green size 4 with no seams on the front. The seamless front is a lifesaver, finally no cameltoe! I ordered three pairs of shorts to see what size I would be. I ended up liking a size 6 and a size 8. Size 6 fits my waist better and size 8 fits my hips better.
