Good cutting set for glass.

I was surprised to see how well the 1/4" bit cuts. I don't know how long they last but for the money you can't go wrong. Tip: mallet and glass moisten before starting. I used a cordless drill at high speed. Tilt the drill about 45 degrees to score the glass, then slowly raise the drill to a vertical position. Be careful to apply light pressure and the to keep the drill wet.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

Don't waste your time

I read some bad reviews and for some reason I expected a better experience. Unfortunately I ran to the hardware store a few minutes after trying these things out. A quarter inch bit couldn't go through a tile until the entire diamond was worn away. I had to drill 6 holes and this drill bit did 1/2. I bought a similar nozzle in Milwaukee and it worked. The cost per bit is higher than this hole but it really worked. Stay away from them.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Out of style

Use lots of water.

Purchased to drill holes in a 12" x 12" ceramic shower tile to install a handrail. I had to drill a total of six holes in the 1/2" tile plus the 1/2" concrete backing. I knew I didn't want to break or even crack the tile. These beats worked great. The secret of their work is that when cutting, water flows over them. I used a spray bottle to keep the bits wet. The hardest part was holding the drill in one place to start the chisel. So I used a 1/8" carbide drill bit (for cutting holes in glass)…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
