I am very happy with this thread for my bookbinding attempts. I'm just starting to learn and I love this set with pretty nice colors. Can't tell if they're durable, but they survived my Copic sewing trials without fraying. If you are making a very specialized or more advanced book I would suggest finding out if these threads will last and if dyes etc will damage your papers. But for me they now fit perfectly and gave me a good range of colors at a reasonable price.

I like the color range and the thickness is just right for my book bindings, but the thread seems to be dipped in a color that bleeds or is applied unevenly. Its spots look whitish, which can also be a waxy coating. I really do not know it. I don't mind a worn, shabby look, but if you're expecting a solid or uniform color, this product may not be what you're looking for. It's very good value if you know what to expect and don't mind. I pull it pretty tight and it's strong.

It worked great! My son brought home an unfinished art project (leather slippers) and I didn't want his hard work to go to waste. We ended them on this topic. He was so excited to finally finish it and wore slippers every day. While I definitely didn't need that many, I wanted to make sure my color matched closely with the thread he was using in class.
