As an avid Arts and Crafts enthusiast, I was extremely disappointed with this product. The quality of the leather seemed poor and the wooden carving tool gave me splinters. As a result of using this product, I found that it was nothing like what was advertised. The only positive aspect was the cowhide was a nice color. However, the cons definitely outweighed any pros. I would not recommend this to anyone.

I used it to insert grommets into some pieces of leather to tie them together. Make sure you measure the thickness of the material to get the correct eyelet/rivet length. Hole punches/pliers work fine, but they need a pretty good grip to crimp the parts tight.

Not surprising at the price. The teeth are unevenly spaced and make crooked holes. I had to grind and sharpen them to make them semi-serviceable. I would return them but I'm so tired of buying things and just returning them. Spend more if you don't want to deal with those cheap things. You get what you pay for.
