The light is brighter and less glaring than most LEDs. I think it could be due to the lumens or the mix of two different color temperatures of the LEDs included in the strip. In any case, I love her. I've bought these before and they've been fine. In this October 2018 batch, the LEDs get EXTREMELY hot when driving both cold and warm LEDs, even on very short runs of 19 inches. They get hot when tested outdoors, and when mounted on a stainless steel shelf, the shelf is not an adequate heat sink to dissipate heat. It's literally hot enough to burn. That means the copper traces are too small, or the resistors are the wrong size, or both. It's dangerous and I don't recommend it.

Excellent quality light. The color is crisp and pleasing to cool or warm white. Blend for the perfect balance. Twice the price of a cheap LED strip, but MORE than twice as bright! All LEDs are fully functional when received. Used under kitchen countertops. Very bright (at full power) in any color combination, although I can't find any reference for lux or lumens so that's my opinion. These dual color lights are incredibly bright. I connected them to the m5 controllers and installed them in a suitably sized aluminum duct.
