Good things to have in your survival bag

Good things to have in your survival bag. Easy to tie and stay tied. tarred fishing line holds the knots. A must-have for your survival gear

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Clarity

Durable for outdoor use.

This is an extremely durable yarn for outdoor use. I have some that are two years old in the desert sun. A little faded but there is no sign of deterioration.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Expensive

That's gr8 stuff! on Tarps & Tie-Downs

I've always wanted to try shore lines with my bow and fire drill and this line works gr8. Also, I can think of many uses now. Buy recommendation.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • So So

Not as strong as expected

Not as much as you think. This thing broke every time I tried to fix something with it. Think of it like sisal twine and don't use it for anything heavy and you'll be fine. It just costs a lot more.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Not automatic

double pack or everything in your bag will smell like tar!

Very solid tarred shoreline, no problems with it. Just make sure you double-pack these things when you put them in your bag or everything in your bag will smell like tar!

Pros
  • Great choice
Cons
  • Embarrassing

Well done and very helpful.

I bought this line for camping and hiking and it works very well for that purpose. It's strong, rot-proof and light enough to pack. Useful for making quickdraws, ice skates, fastening camping furniture, etc. Additional note: This product has a strong odor and I would recommend keeping it in a plastic bag during packing or storage.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Functionality

Ideal for camping, bushcraft and outdoor survival.

If you're looking for a cheap alternative to paracord, look no further. I've used this line for everything from hanging a hammock to hanging a bag of groceries while traveling in the Appalachia to using twine for a rig. Durable material and doesn't stretch like paracord, which is very convenient for hanging a hammock. Once you get it, you will want to leave it in your garage for a while because of the VERY strong smell. The smell starts to go away after about a week, but never goes away…

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

Great product at a great price.

I have deer that love to eat the plants in my area. After years of using the spray on wildlife repellent products, I found I could protect my plants with a physical barrier. I drive six foot wooden stakes at 6 to 8 foot intervals around the yard that I protect. Then I take black wine and wrap the pillars with it, moving from one pillar to another. I place the tallest strand of yarn about 4 inches from the top of the post. Then I run another strand of yarn about 18 inches below the top strand…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
