The size of this "reservoir" is approximately 1/3 gallon which means it is too small for adult bettas. However, if you are raising a baby Betta, this makes a good temporary home until the fish is fully grown. The tank is very easy to clean, making a 100% water change very easy. If you're looking for a home for an adult Betta, it's probably best to look elsewhere.

Firstly, it is too small to keep fish for a long period of time. However, I bought it to serve as a temporary home for my son's bettas while we moved and it was perfect for that. It was fairly splash proof, but when we needed to be really sure, we put it in one of the bags you get at the pet store to take the fish home (the big one). I highly recommend this aquarium if you need a place to transport your fish. If this isn't what you need, you probably want something more.

I use it to turn my faucet off during water changes but I can't use it for anything else! It's too small and a tap takes over a gallon and a lot more is better! I was hoping to use it as a temporary container in case I need to keep it there for a few hours but feel like it's too small for that. Not at all as described This is one of the reasons for the low rating. My other reasons are that this item arrived in bubble wrap on a mailing list. He was obviously kicked at my door when the box was crushed. How it didn't break the plastic container inside is beyond me. My bettas thrive in it! :) They are well made and very easy to clean. I actually have 6 of these, two for each fighter, which makes cleaning up very easy. However, I will say that due to the small size of the tank I recommend at least a weekly cleaning if going this route.
