I used this cleaner for about 15 years until the plastic eventually became brittle and had to be replaced. The hose is long enough to go from our family room through the vent to the basement sink. The only issue I had was that the valve that regulates the flow of water to either the sink or the aquarium leaks a little making it a little inefficient. It just takes a little longer to fill the aquarium.

Love my gravel vacuum cleaner. They make cleaning a large tank easier. All you have to do is stick the vacuum end into the tank. Make sure it doesn't fly out when you turn on the water. Connect the sink connector to the faucet. Make sure the valve at the bottom is open and turn on the water the way I use both hot and cold for more suction. When you're done cleaning you can also use the hose to refill, just lift the valve on the sink connector and the water will start to fill. If that doesn't…
