Helicopters don't fly

I should have read the reviews. Helicopters don't fly; they are too heavy. What a disappointment. The plane is cool but my son* put it together too quickly. Anyone who writes good reviews has to lie about their helicopters.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Won't fly - construction toy

Great idea but poor execution - Helicopters are easy to build (good for 3-4 year olds) but they don't fly. Daughter still loves her but this is disappointing. The plane is cute but not complex enough to justify the price.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Don't fly! Best in Constructor

Save money, the helicopter is too heavy and won't fly. My grandson just rented a helicopter and only flies on propellers and it works great that way. There are lightweight flying toys that do the same thing for less than $5! Really surprised for a Lego product!

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Does not work as advertised

We've honestly bought over 100 Lego sets in 30 years. This is the only thing we were disappointed with. They don't fly like other similarly designed toys. The fit isn't tight, Legos are probably too heavy for this type of flying toy. sent back. Never returned a Lego set

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Only available in white

Copters don't fly!

Does not fly. As a previous reviewer noted, the blades generate no lift at all. We are returning this set. Remember those "props on a stick" you used to start by rolling them between your hands? Much more lift and much more fun. Wanted to spend a few hours building and running around the house with the kids during quarantine. Not with this set.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

Does not fly well for figures

Bought for my 5 year old son. Helicopters and the launch system are not light enough for helicopters to actually fly. It takes a lot of strength to pull the brake rope hard enough to make them fly significantly. Definitely too much force is required for a small child. And given that this set doesn't require a lot of Lego pieces (just a plane, which is relatively easy) because of the emphasis on flying helicopters, it's a poor price.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Damaged

Doesn't fly well for assembling toys

I have bought many LEGO products over the years and this is by far the worst product they have ever sold. You must be confused that the LEGO name is associated with it. Putting it together was very quick for my 6 year old who made a number of other kits. This is mainly because there are few parts for helicopters, the first one was built in less than 30 minutes. However, she could not get him to fly. The blades turned as they should, but didn't seem to generate enough lift. So I tried it myself…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors are here
