wiring colors are NON STANDARD

Waisted a full day. Why would you even make a non standard wiring configuration. No note or instructions in the package. Very poor product.

Wires were crossed best in my review

When I installed this, the wires were crossed and did not match up to the 7 pt plug on my truck. The wrong lights would light up when pressed brake, wrong turn signal, etc.

  • I was able to connect all wires neatly and had enough connections

Easy to install in my review

This wire harness was so easy to install and the color coding left nothing to the imagination. The waterproof junction box is ideal for trailers keeping the water and mud away from the connections. Great product!

Color of wires for operation

The wires in the plug did not match were the wires should be in the box.had to switch wires around to make it work. otherwise it was fine

I’ve had mine installed for about two months now and it is working great. Make sure you use the pictures in the Ebay listing to make sure you are wiring it correctly on a standard trailer (the wires to do not match colors with standard trailer wiring). The brass pins on the 7pin connector are a little flimsy but I haven’t had any connection issues yet.

Cheap build, wrong wiring, plug doesn't fit, other than that, it's great

Tried to save a little money by buying this combination junction box and cable. The cable was wired nicely inside the box, but the wire colors are all wrong. I traced them out to get the right ones connected, but after finishing the wiring the plug would not easily go into the receptacle, and when it did, it didn't make a complete connection. I was eventually able to get it to stay in place, but there is no way I'm going down the highway with a plug that might fall out. In addition, the cover…

Quality product in my review

Used on homemade trailer. Good quality. Your truck wiring may not follow the color code of the product. No fault of product. You will have to verify by testing. Easy to change wire connections.

  • Replaced a 4 pin plug with yhis 7 pin so I would have power to my tongue jack.

Plug is wired completely WRONG

Maybe its wired for the China trailer market but in the USA we have a wiring code we use. All the colors are there but they don't match the plug end. The only correct wire was the ground wire.

  • I liked it my trailer lights and brakes work now it’s a 7 wire but it will work for a 5 wire
