was the beloved piece I chose to replace the set from the beginning of my marriage 41 years ago. Beautiful, creamier than white. Can be used in the microwave without overheating problems. I like this set. That's great. I find it a bit pricey for a set. My mother-in-law bought me a set for my birthday because it was on my wish list. As soon as I arrived, I realized that this was just an installation site. So I had to buy 4 sets just for normal everyday use. When my mother-in-law bought a set, it also came with an extra small bowl. When I bought the additional 3 sets, the additional small bowl was not included. I just thought it was weird because it wasn't in the description.

We have several of these sets from our wedding list and such. So far they're fantastic, with one exception. I reheated some food in the oven, internal temp 165f or so - nothing hot. I put it on a plate (room temperature) and went to the dining room to eat. If there is a plate of food on it and no one touches it, it will break in half. Insanely beautiful! It was on the BB&B gift list for $40. It arrived in perfect condition in a lenox box. The jug is elegant and stylish, and the bride loved it (as did I).

The sauce jar is all well and good, but it should be everywhere. I bought this for a Thanksgiving trip, we don't have a gravy boat and it just made a terrible mess. It should run down both sides of the spout no matter how carefully we try to pour it, dripping everywhere. That's nice too, but there seems to be a flaw in the design.
