Lenox Tools 3084310X 10 Inch Extension Review

This extension is not 3/8" but more like 9mm, I have compared it to a 3/8" socket and not even close The item appears to be very durable and may come in handy on the go.

Using this drill extension I drilled several holes in the top plate, three 2x4s in my walls. In the attic, I drilled holes at the top of the wall panel to make holes for the network cables. Used an extension with a 2-1/2" lenox hole saw which also worked well. Use a 1/2" drill bit and cut through 2x4's at a time...remove the cut end cap from the drill bit and cut the next 2x4 out....repeat until finished. I was pleasantly surprised at how sharp, fast and smooth the cuts were.

Firstly, this 10" arbor is made for the 11/32" hex used in most 3/8 hole saw arbors . " cartridge. This is an outdated standard unless you choose the larger size 7/16". Lenox has never been great with its documentation and specs, but the tools are great and so is this extension. (Note: there never were 3/8" hole saw shanks until, for some reason, DeWalt got unconventional.)
