Mac Mini M1 chip is best for computer cable adapters

I bought it for use with Mac mini but it doesn't recognize this hub - disappointed because it claims to work with a Mac computer. It didn't work on this one. **** REVISION: I don't know how it happened, but it's working properly now. At first the Mac Mini didn't recognize it. Since then it's been working great. Possibly an operator error, so ignore the previous review. Now it's 5 stars

Ok but don't rely on pd (updated)

Worked fine for 3 weeks then stopped doing pass through charging. It seems to be an issue with cheap docking stations. Update: Seller contacted and ended up sending a new unit, the new unit is working fine for now, hopefully it will stay that way for a while, I've had 4-5 of these from diff makers and they all seem to be stopping the PD have it again with one Tried a much better power supply and will hopefully last a long time.

Excellent USB/HDMI hub, the best among computer cable adapters

I bought this for my daughter who needed a USB hub for her Macbook Air and a way to connect her Mac to an external monitor. I love that this hub has plenty of USB ports and an HDMI port. As a bonus, it also matches the color of her Mac because it's important to her. I also like that the housing is metal as it seems more durable than other hubs I've bought.

Macbook Pro can't restart while this dongle is plugged in

When I leave it connected to my 2017 Macbook Pro while it restarts, my Mac starts up in recovery mode and says an important security update needs to be installed, to be able to continue using it my Mac. If I remove the key and force a restart, everything works fine again. Also, I noticed that my connected USB keyboard stopped registering random keystrokes after upgrading to Catalina.

Great device, can be used as a replacement for an external docking station

I first bought a lention to connect an HP Chromebook to an HDMI cable. Later, I experienced failure of an expensive Dell external docking station. External docking station for connecting multiple monitors to a Dell laptop. The Lention device can completely replace the Dell Dock. I connected it to a second monitor and all USB peripherals. Runs like a champ and doesn't require an additional power source like a Dell docking station. A very pleasant surprise.

Fits computer cable adapter

Use it with my new Mac to connect a CD burner/player, external hard drive and card reader. Everything worked. Due to my setup I wanted to add a 1.5ft extension cord and when I did nothing worked. I don't know if it was a defective cable or not. This is an addendum to my original review. The product support for this center is phenomenal! They answered all my questions, offered solutions and kept in touch until I was satisfied. If I need to purchase additional electronics I will definitely look…
