Ready to work with second LG monitor for 2019 Mac Book Pro. They asked to update the Big Sur OS a day after connecting. He said he found non-Apple hardware that could damage the MacBook without an update. Although it worked before the update. Will be updated if I have a long term adapter hardware failure.

Use this as a second outlet when I run my Macbook Pro 2018 (v2) in clamshell desktop mode. no problem, works great! (I already had an Apple HDMI/USB 3.0 dongle, so this will be used for the second monitor.) Note. I haven't had this item long (2-3 weeks) but it's already widely available and seems reliable. I've used it probably over 20 times and several hours at a time in the past few weeks.

I was lazy and didn't write many reviews. I took this product because it was an HDMI-C port that I needed. All connections are correct but as other reviewers have said the end result is very poor. When the cable is working, it is mostly static and goes in and out frequently. I tried a different HDMI cable to see if this was the case and got the same result.

I bought this a few weeks ago and when I first tried it it worked great. When I tried it a second time a week later, it didn't work. that does not work. I am extremely disappointed. I am using a 2016 Macbook Pro 13" display. Update: Sophie was kind enough to send me another one and this second one worked great. Their customer service is excellent and I hope they continue to improve their products.

Almost 6 months have passed, at first the month worked very well. But after that the problems start. I bought this to connect my MacBook Pro to a projector. It was a much better deal than buying it from Apple ($49) and seemed like the best quality option for Revain. The first time I used it worked beautifully but the second time it started to loosen up and now it needs more and more tweaking every time I use it.
