No quality control is good for Car Audio

Updated after 2 months. 3rd module I tried. The sound is muted when the volume slider is touched or moved. Looks like I've already passed the return window so I'm stuck with a piece of junk. Save money and don't waste time with it. inferior quality. This is the 2nd unit I have had to replace. The first had loose connections in the volume control and the sound was muted. The second had a problem with the input port and didn't work. The product seems like a good idea but not very usable due to…

Poor design and/or counterfeit parts

I bought this for possible use in a 12 volt standalone audio system. While testing it in my RV with a pair of Micca MB42x speakers, smoke came out. After disassembly I found that the 5V regulator used to power the USB port had melted. This is a simple LM7805 low current voltage regulator. I should add that nothing was connected to the USB port and there was no short circuit on the pins. This "7805” burned out with a supply voltage of 13.5 V and no load. This is perfectly in line with the…

Excellent value for sound and features

I bought this to test my home speakers. I like to bi- or tri-amp my speakers with passive crossovers and this amp allows me to do that in one package by giving me some basic tone controls and variable crossover volume/frequency on the woofer. I'm guessing it's 4 ohms stable and 110 volts. I used to use a 4ch 12V transformer car amp for testing purposes, it's much smaller and simpler. The output power is sufficient for dyno testing and the sound is clear enough. There is some audible noise, but…

Excellent purchase! Replaced computer speakers with Klipsch KG 3.5.

Pure power. They sent a 12V 3A power supply that powers the unit well at lower volumes. Connect 2 Klipsch KG 3.5 speakers (65W, 8 ohms) to it, which sound rich. The amplifier distorts the sound at high volume when played at lower frequencies. So you can hear clipping on tweets pretty quickly. This is with and without the subwoofer connected, there is no difference. Mine also seems to have a problem with the low-pass filter. it doesn't seem to do anything (4 ohm load on the aux channel, 8 ohm…

Works perfectly. The aesthetics are weak. The quality is questionable.

Okay I've only been using this for a few hours but for now I'm enjoying it. Let me remove the cons as the bad reviews are numerous and not unfounded: Cons: - As far as I can tell the crossover doesn't really work. If so, I don't notice the effects. - The flashing blue light indicating a subwoofer signal is ridiculously bright and annoying. - The subwoofer connectors on the back of my device are not properly connected. I had to use the negative connection of one channel and the positive…

This product is complete junk. Don't waste time.

I bought one of these for an arcade build I'm making. The first came in a pimply envelope with minimal lining. Upon opening, the box was found to be broken and all the contents leaked out; However, the product itself was not damaged. Stereo speakers sounded normal after connection. maybe a little tinny and sizzling, but not that bad. The biggest problem is the subwoofer. The volume of the subwoofer turns on and off with each setting. Above 10% the subwoofer starts to distort a lot. In fact, I…

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • No mold required

This little guy does a good job. Forget the 40 watts. It's not there. The same with 68 watts for the subwoofer. Possibly a spike, but otherwise divided by 2. However, once I put aside my frustration with the result and resisted the initial urge to put it back in the box, we became friends. This is not a baffle. But it does an excellent job of amplifying the signal coming from your computer or iPhone. Here's what it does.1. Forget the front AUX input and go straight to the RCA jacks on the back.

WARNING THIS REVIEW IS FOR Lepai LP-269FS 4 x 45W Mini Amplifier with USB/MP3/SD and FM Remote I RECEIVED THE WRONG PRODUCT! Thing is, this company sent me the WRONG amp then the one I bought from the ad because what I actually got was a Lepai LP-269FS 4 x 45W mini amp with USB/MP3/SD and FM remote control, and NOT this Lepai LP-168HA 2.1 2 x 40W amplifier and 1x68W subwoofer. Conclusion I'm about to rate my wrong productRating the wrong product: Lepai LP-269FS 4 x 45W Mini Amplifier with…
