Started leaking the first day so I wanted to return it, water on the floor also damaged my smart LED lights. I've never had a complaint with Levoit, but this time I didn't like it at all. The good side is the smart humidifier that can be turned on and off with smart assistants.

MY HUSBAND AND I BOTH WERE IN THE HOSPITAL WITH HUMIDIFIER PNEUMONIA. I GOOLED THIS AND IT IS SOME KIND OF DISEASE CAUSED BY THE HUMIDIFIER BECAUSE THIS UNIT NEEDS TO BE CLEANED WITH SOAP AND WATER EVERY OTHER DAY. IF YOU CAN'T BE SURE TO CLEAN IT FREQUENTLY - DO NOT USE IT. WE ARE TWICE IN THE HOSPITAL WITH THIS DISEASE!

Ridiculous they force you to install an app just to change auto humidity. The app asks for permission to access contacts, camera, phone, pictures, call logs, etc. It's insanely intrusive. The app should provide convenience to the device and not be required for normal functionality. I have no idea who needs in-app cleaners and humidifiers, but I friggin' don't. Like other reviewers, I was initially happy with this humidifier, but after filling the tank the second time, water from this unit ran all over my floor. I removed the tank, filled it with water and placed it in a pan to check for leaks. The valve circled in the attached picture was of course constantly dripping.
