LEZYNE Macro Drive 100: The Best Electric Bike Light with 1000 Lumens, Auto Dim & 6-12v Input Review

It's amazing my Cube Stereo 160 is always ready to go when I'm late. Bright enough that I can move as fast as I want and see ahead. I had to take the bike to a local bike shop to update the Kiox and turn on the lights, but I often support them and they didn't charge me so I tipped the kid at the shop. For the installation I ordered a Bosch motor adapter plug, twisted the cables together and plugged them in. It took a minute to pull the wires through the pipes, but not too bad. I would buy again

This is a great lamp for e-bikes. It integrated perfectly with my YT Decoy. All I had to do was solder the YT wires coming from the motor and turn on the lighting feature in the eTube app. The headlight provides enough light for night riding if you also have a helmet light. At full power, it feels moderately hot. I like the automatic brightness better, which adapts to the ambient light. The only thing missing is the upper part of the beam limiter, so as not to dazzle oncoming traffic.

For $80 this is one hell of a light, but I'm not sure it's *the best* for actual mountain bikes. If you're going for daily flat terrain riding then it's fine. When you're on more advanced and rough terrain, it tends to shimmer a bit on bumps. The mount that the light lives on is not so rigid. If you pair it with another helmet light you'll probably be fine as your helmet light will fill in enough light that you can't see the flickering. Installation was easy (YT Decoy).
