🚲 LEZYNE Control Drive CO2 Inflator: Presta & Schrader Compatible Head for Bicycle Tire Pump Review

I have had other air pumps but this is the best I have ever had. I bought 2 in case I lose the rubber o ring but this is the best product for the job. I highly recommend buying this for your saddlebag. Don't leave home without it!

A little more difficult to use than the old plastic button pump I have but much more durable. It takes two hands to open the valve and hold the valve stem during inflation but it still works well and the included cartridge socket makes it easier to handle during inflation and I feel like I waste a lot less CO2 with it. Very well done! I only wish I could find one as well made with one button.

I bought this a few months ago based on good reviews and high price. Estimated that at $24 this should be a great item. Not so! This is my first time using it and the threads were not fully tapped to fit the CO2 cartridge. It was easy to see that the threads were missing. I was able to knock them out, but when I screwed in the CO2, the blower didn't pierce the CO2 cartridge. I will contact the company and see if they replace it.

Apart from the colour, the compact design and the general reputation and build of the Lyzene Control Drive, this is the best CO2 inflator I have ever used. Had to use this 3 times on a recent ride when a cycling mate had a slashed tire and inner tubes kept failing. After 2 failed attempts to inflate his tire with his pump and someone else's pump, I gave them Lyzene and the tire was successfully inflated with 1 can of CO2. They are so good I now have three of these in permanent toolboxes on my three commuter bikes. They're a bit more expensive than some of the other high-end inflators, but Lezyne inflators have worked well for me on the side of the road when I needed them most, and I don't want to save five bucks and find out on the spot. Excellent product. Simple but with excellent build quality, holding it in your hands feels like something you can rely on. I love that it uses a very compact but tactile pressure regulator and slides over the tire valve. A recent review complained that the logo on the dial was confusing. I don't mean to be condescending, but that's weird. The logo is a teardrop on the front of the stick. Tightening or twisting towards the narrow end reduces/stops flow. First bike ride the day after I got the Lezyne adapter, the bike gods wowed me and I had a flat tire. The roadside repair was quick, the adapter is easy to use. This was my first time using a c02 cartridge so I was a bit worried but just made sure the adapter control is closed, the adapter is screwed all the way onto the cartridge, the adapter is tight on the valve and the regulator slowly turn to release the c02 into the valve. hose and voila!
