Not quite up to par

These slides seemed strong enough, but the plastic tip on the front of one slide was broken. I could still use it, but now the drawer in my project doesn't close properly. Here you have to weigh any cost savings against the hassle of sending back your defective device. Maybe I'll have to get them back to the hardware store.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Hard to tell

The only drawer slides I will buy

I'm sitting here trying to install the soft close slides I bought at my local hardware store and it's a nightmare. These slides are the opposite. Durable, elegant, easy to install. You are perfect. Five stars, freedom. I'm taking out these junk slides I've been trying to install for the past two days and I'll buy more from you.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Expensive

Quality Wardrobe Slider

The gauge (thickness) of stamped steel for glider frames is more than adequate. The galvanized surface is as smooth as stainless steel. I don't see any flaws on either the inner or outer rail. Pre-lubricated ball bearings in the housing run smoothly. The bearing clearance is ideal from one end of the rails to the other. There is no binding or excessive play due to too little or too much bearing play. These sliders are perfect for a 20" drawer.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • High Price

Drawers now pull out smoothly

I really needed to replace most of the hardware on my kitchen drawers as the old ones just fell apart, although this product had no reviews yet so I decided to take a chance and see if the price is right. These slides are good quality, look and feel like they need to be more expensive and were easy to install. Of course, the old ones were very similar, so I can't comment on sharing issues. They are very strong, smooth and can hold a lot of weight as my drawers are filled with a lot of things.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Useless features

Repaired an old tool trolley

I bought these to replace worn guides in a Matco tool trolley. Direct replacements weren't available, so I tried them. If you find yourself in the same situation, delete the original slides and separate the inner slides from the outer ones. Do the same with the new slides, stacking the same pieces on top of each other. Using the mounting holes on the new rails, mark and drill the mounting holes in the old rails. Install the old slides into the cart/toolbox and drawers and use them as a template

Pros
  • Heavy duty
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

I had to replace the paper drawer slides. The originals weren't very heavy and I stuffed the drawer full of files. Eventually one of the guides broke, all the ball bearings fell out and I couldn't find a replacement. I received them and when they first came out I thought they were too "fat" for the gap between the drawer and the box. But I figured I could change the box if I had to. Turns out I only had to drill one of the holes in the rail to match the holes on the drawer; Just made the slit…

Excellent glide works best for cabinet hardware

Ok this is the only brand of drawer slides I've used so can't compare. I liked the 16" length for a dresser so much that I bought this 18" for a very wide and shallow drawer. 40 inches wide, 20 inches deep, 4 inches high. At this width, I would probably benefit from a third rail running right under the center of the drawer, but I don't have a place to put it. I checked all the measurements and the movement of the drawer is very smooth and stable. When I push the drawer to the side when fully…

Pros
  • Full extension opening allows access to entire drawer
Cons
  • Expensive

Easy to install, full extension

The hood runs the full length of the slide allowing easy access to the back of the drawer which was my main goal. It comes with enough screws for 3 screws in each section, 12 total. I used plywood for these master boxes, soft wood, and the frame and screws held up well. The screws seemed too small to support the weight, but they did the job. At around $10 each, this is a very good price for accommodating Β£100 and still getting full extension, especially up to 18 inches. The installation guide…

FINALLY I can use my drawer!

We had good office furniture for the home study but I always hated that 2 file drawers were only half opened. You couldn't really fill the drawers because you had to reach back to pull the files forward to access them, and that took up space. Received the slides today and they installed in about an hour. with a half. The only mistake I made was setting the drawer slides "too forward" so the drawer didn't close completely, but the slotted holes allowed me to slide the slides back without having…
