The original issue has been resolved. Now it works fine.

A wiring error was detected that is not related to the device. I only give 4/5 because the smartphone's WiFi connection sometimes has to be reinitialized when the smartphone is switched off. I think it's an issue with the phone, not the camera. No need to worry, otherwise it works reliably. Outstanding resolution. This check replaces the previous check, which can be neglected.

Good until you want to use it

Good parts: Easy installation, good picture. Cons: You have to reconnect to the camera every time you use it. volatile. No other devices can be connected during use. Does not work with Samsung Galaxy Tab A. If I had known this beforehand I would not have bought it. I've already installed it in my truck, so I guess I'll use my phone. Very unhappy. Technical support is very useless.

The camera works as expected but does not fit in the Honda Ridgeline rear license plate mounting area

If you are good with cars this was an easy install/connection to the tail lights for power. The connection to the iPhone worked reliably with the camera app. I would have kept it but the full size license plate cover didn't allow it to fit in the back of the Honda Ridgeline it was supposed to be on. If this company offered a non-full-frame model, I would consider buying it.

Nice and comfortable but not great

The frame seems very strong and nice but covers part of the panel. Installation takes extra time because the bolts are inserted from the front and the nuts are inserted from the back, increasing safety. The image quality is okay as it is a fisheye lens which distorts the image a bit. The most negative point is how long the phone takes to connect to the camera signal. The fastest was around 11 seconds, but usually 15-20 seconds. On one or two occasions during the test, the connection would not…

Works great - be patient and install correctly

Overall I am impressed with this unit. FWIW, as far as I can tell it is identical to the one sold by LASTBUS. Even the printed instructions are identical. Both "companies" seem quick to respond to questions about their email addresses. I installed this on a 2010 Volvo XC70. I had to remove the tailgate trim panels to access the necessary wiring - it's not necessarily a very easy install. If you are imaginative and love to work on your machine, this is NBD. Own WiFi, so no internet/data required

Initially I had problems with the instructions on how to make the camera work faster. It seemed to take a long time for the phone's screen to show where the camera was pointing. I felt like I could return it. B/c I just turn my head and the b4 cam turns on. I mean sometimes I had to close the app and turn it back on or turn Wi-Fi off and on again, what a hassle. Quality unit

Firstly, the camera arrived quickly as one would expect from Revain. The camera turned out to be surprisingly detailed. The frame and body of the camera turned out to be metal and durable. Before I bought it, I read some reviews and was a little worried about the installation. Now I have to say my truck is a Toyota Tundra with an aftermarket rear bumper and this probably made the installation easier as the inside of the bumper is much more exposed than most factory bumpers.
