Costs $20 for infrequent use.

People are right. The magnets themselves aren't strong enough for a round surface (like on this bar), but they stick well to a flat surface. They worked well once installed and I liked that I could easily see the amber side in the mirror. Costs $20 for infrequent use. If I tow more often, I might do something different.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Not worth the money

Bought these to use on a steel trailer with no lights while driving it home. The magnets are too weak and the light keeps falling off. I often had to stop to put them back on and they just fell off as soon as I got on the freeway. One of the flashlight lenses kept falling off despite the plastic wrap it was wrapped in. When I got home both lenses of one of the lights had fallen off.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Without running lights: Lighting

This was my second set of these lights. The first ones were in the kit when I bought the hitch but they broke. They worked well in daylight, with turn signals and brake lights. However, there are no parking lights, so at night you either drive without lights or with the turn signals on. I towed my Jeep from South Texas to Kentucky and had no other problems with the headlights. The sides of my jeep are solid metal so the headlights get stuck easily.

Pros
  • Very impressive

  • Weight

Scrap and 20 feet like everyone else

DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM! These headlights are absolute junk! First, the description says 30 feet of wire. No, 20 feet like everyone else. The only reason I chose this item was the 30 foot range. Had to buy another $25 more 25ft extension to meet my needs. When I finally used them, the magnets weren't strong enough to hold them in the pendant. One fell down and ripped everything to pieces. To finish my trip I had to tape it up like I'm fucking Billy from Beverly Hill. I just got home and can't wait

Not 30ft as advertised, only 20ft

We specifically ordered these because we needed something with a 30ft strap and you couldn't beat the price. The item arrived within a day of using expedited shipping so we were very happy to have it for our trailer. When we opened the box, we found that each set only had a 20-foot wiring harness and a small extension cord. Won't be returning them for this reason because the price was great and the quality is pretty good, but we need to order an extension. If you want to order them specifically

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Flaws

Maybe good for 2 or 3 trips.

I bought these because I was having wiring issues on my trailer's existing signal lights. I only needed them for a few runs. Well two runs is all I have before they started working weird. One signal works and the other doesn't. Then they both blinked sometimes, and then nothing. I had to make mounts for them because the magnets aren't strong enough to hold the steel wings. The best part about them is that they came ready to use, just plug in and go! Lots of wire to get to the end of the truck…

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • So far so good

The magnets are not strong enough, the cable is barely long enough.

If you plan to put them on the car at high speed, they will eventually tip over and hit the side of the car. The cable from the tractor to the rear of the towed vehicle was barely long enough to reach the trunk of the sedan and the cable between the two headlights is too long, I had to leave a zip tie in place to lift everything loosely. The amber lens broke off one of the lamps when it hit the side of the car. If I have to buy again I will choose a different product. The long wire must be on…

Pros
  • STRONG BASE: The strong, durable magnetic base resists scratches and can withstand up to 8 pounds of force.
Cons
  • Damaged

Good price but there are a few concerns.

Light Works great. It's easy to install and use. I bought at least 3 sets. A common problem with all: In fact, there are several problems with this product. The magnets detach from the base of the product and then when it goes down. Until you get super glue, you can't use them. Have a good glue with you and you'll be done. I have a 6ft trailer that I use them on. The spacing between the lights is 6 feet so it has to be perfect right? Well, in theory yes, but in reality the 6ft is straight and…

Pros
  • GREAT VALUE: 1 Set Magnetic 12V Trailer Train Lights.
Cons
  • Speed

Broke on first use. The magnets are not very strong.

When I first used them, the left light had a serious connection problem on my Jeep. I then used an electronics cleaner and a wire brush to make sure my 4 pin side wasn't the problem. It was not. The left light barely worked unless I put a lot of effort into the two sides of the 4 pin connector. I finally got it working using the XDA cable tie. Anyway, I made my way to the freeway and attached this pair of magnets to a medium sized car trailer. I drove at about 60 mph as my little 99 TJ doesn't…

Pros
  • EXCELLENT QUALITY: Includes 20ft harness with standard 4 wire spade connector for trailer lighting.
Cons
  • Slightly cracked
