Holes perfectly match the first generation Lexus RX300 (1999-2003). Those who say no most likely didn't raise the gate high enough to line up the holes. A little upward pressure on the tailgate will line up the holes perfectly. A great low cost solution to that annoying problem of the back door not staying open.

These tappets/shock absorbers are perfect for a 2002 Lexus RX 300 and work better than previously installed. Simply screw on with the brackets already on the vehicle. Relatively easy but will probably require 2 people, one to hold the hatch and one to screw it on. After installation they are not as stiff as the previous pair that broke (probably they were too stiff). I would highly recommend these lifters/shocks and the seller, great product at a great price! I've owned the car long enough that you need to replace the gas struts that hold the trunk up. Buying them from a Lexus dealer is very expensive so I decided to go to the aftermarket. You'll need a piece of wood cut to size or a stout helper to hold the back door while you work. I used a 2x4 piece.
