After two hip surgeries, I find it difficult to bend down to clean the litter box. The handle is quite long and the shovel is strong. This is a great deal for the price.

Sturdy and strong for a kitty litter, better than any plastic scoop. Also, I like the comment that says they make great fire shovels. It is easy to separate large debris to use coal ash in the garden.

I have a waste bin that I use as a litter box because one of my cats pees quite high over the edge of a regular litter box. This shovel is strong enough with a long handle and a comfortable grip to clear out a box. A small plastic spoon fits in a regular saucepan, but not in a large basket.

Husband breaks things. He broke his car's handle not just once, but twice! He's broken every cat shoulder blade we've had EXCEPT this one. I'll update this review if he somehow manages to succeed in his devastation, but right now we're at around 6 months and he seems unbeatable. Update a year later: still not broken, even a bit less stable! I will buy for my friends/family as birthday gifts for their cats.

I have 3 big cats and 2 big cat bowls. I've changed two "heavy" scooters in the last 6 months. I have used this new shovel and I swear I will never use any other. It does its job without any problems as long as nothing sticks. I'm not worried about the handle bending or breaking. Yes, I clean the trays several times a day. This is the best scoop I have ever used and have had with cats for over 30 years. I highly recommend and will buy more. Thank you SunGrow.

We've had so many cheap plastic shovels sold in the stores. They get uncomfortable, you can't clean them very well, and frankly, they just don't work. I don't know why the stores don't sell this spoon. It's wonderful to use, it grabs the biggest clumps imaginable, stays clean, and if things get a little messy, it's easy to clean with soap and water. To be honest this will probably be the last toilet scoop I will ever have to buy!

Wow, a product that really lives up to the description. Yes, he is durable. The aluminum rod comes to the end of the handle. It has good length and strength which makes removing large piles of clay in the corner of the tray much easier than ever. And it doesn't really stick to the spoon either. A real non-stick shovel! Yes, wet, clumpy litter can stick to it, but it doesn't cost anything to knock it off. Convenient slots that allow dry putty to easily fall through. This made life a lot easier!
