Best damn lens I've ever had!

I'm not a handyman, I'm a professional welder with 29 years of experience and I'm here to tell you this is the best damn lens I've ever had.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Zero

Didn't work right away

Didn't work right away. Very disappointed in Lincoln and Harris Welding Supply. I know others who had the same problem. I was online for several days and tried to return it, but I did not receive anything in return. waste of money.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Price piggy bank

I love them for x-ray inspection of welds.

I use these lenses on my field helmet which attaches to my hard hat. It is ideal for welds that will be x-rayed. In pandeking, I weld the tip to the broom, hold the helmet in my hand, and fly. No conventional welding can keep up.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Functionality

From fragile brakes to light

This lens has only been used about 15 times I work in a refinery and power plant and use welders with it at least 10 hours a day I know this Welding lenses out and this one is really good when it works, I have recommended it to everyone but it has cracked, this lens is really brittle. I hope they do some upgrades because I really like this lens it's so clean but cracking within 15 uses is crazy don't buy if you want a reliable lens.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Mostly ok but...

Good clear lens suitable for welding helmets

I like that it has quite a faint tint when not on. This will help you see the setting before you strike the arc. It also doesn't require batteries and seems to stay charged even when I keep it in a dark closet. This thing is from a 10 year old $300 Optrel and looks just as good. On the plus side, if a lens fails, you can leave your helmet on and simply replace the lens. It can also be used in a pancake helmet or any other size 2x4.25. The color is fairly clear when welded (no tint). So far, so…

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Was damaged

Amazing Auto Dark Lenses

These auto tinted Lincoln lenses are a real gem. I've never had auto dark lenses, all mine have been passive, I like silver, gold and my wen lenses. I was looking for a lens for a new welding hood. I'm glad I chose Lincoln. I have never used a transparent lens like this before. It's easy on the eye and I can see the puddle and base metal perfectly. I weld for a living, so that's saying something.

Pros
  • Compatible with most helmets that accept 2" x 4.25" cartridges
Cons
  • Some bugs
