Linksys EA7450 Max-Stream AC1900 MU-MIMO Gigabit Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router Review

Updated on this router. Quite simply because I now have better and faster WiFi throughout the house and on the back deck. I don't care about the numbers and/or statistics that the people in marketing have done with this thing. All I know is that it works. and that I'm glad I bought it.

An unsuspecting customer trying to set up a device finds they are allowed to purchase the apps they feel are necessary to install them. Five stars for the device, one star for the handling, which allows such user-inconvenient teaching practice to continue.

First of all, I'm an electronics engineer with over 50 years of experience. I like the router's performance and the app's interface. Our smartphones had no issues, but our old Dell laptops continued to work and failed to connect. I replaced the Wi-Fi cards in both with Intel 7260s. Now everything works fine even in the Bluetooth 4.0 laptop.

This router replaces an old model I had for 15 years. It was very easy to swap out and set up. The interface is online so you don't have to worry about the software and it is very easy to use. The computer I connected to Wi-Fi was easy to connect and more responsive to the network. This is a really good router for the price and for my needs. It seemed to have a smoother online gaming experience.

I had to replace my 12 year old router. I am very impressed how easy the connection was, even for a layman. It literally took about 10 minutes including unboxing and discarding the old one! I stream almost everything on YouTube TV and get a great signal and I can't recommend it highly enough!

I had to return this device as it was not compatible with my WiFi garage opener. I spent a few hours alone and 30 minutes on the phone with tech support. We couldn't get it to connect to an activated security system. It connected when I disabled security and left Wi-Fi open. And you can't leave the guest wifi open. Every other smart device I've connected and the range is great. And the interface is beautiful. But opening a garage was a deal breaker for me.
