🦁 Lion Brand Touch Of Alpaca Bonus Bundle Yarn - Charcoal Shade Review

Two of these were ordered together for the same project. Only one has arrived so far and I'm sure when the next one arrives the color batches will not match. I won't order enough yarn from Revain for a big project again. Lots of color is important for big projects.

Although I ordered enough of this "premium" product in black to complete the Afghan garment, the item was not delivered on time, along with or with the same color batches. Now I either have to buy more yarn elsewhere or risk the colors not matching my granddaughter's Afghan dress exactly.

I love the amount of yarn you get but I'm giving stars because this yarn sheds so badly! One night I was knitting in a black shirt and when I was done my shirt looked like I was petting a dog. I have poodles because I don't like dogs that shed and I seem to carry a shed dog when knitting with this yarn. I don't know what to do with over 400 meters of it!

The reason I gave this yarn 4 stars is because it comes apart when knitting. The medium or worsted yarn is slightly lighter. I have used this yarn to make plush bunnies and it works great for them because the color and texture of the yarn are such that they give the bunnies a very real look. So I put up with the division for the realism it gives to the scarecrow!

I love Touch of Alpaca. The size of the bonus package is large. It is very good if you make several hats with the same color scheme. I love the slight halo that comes from the alpaca fiber in the blend. Very soft. Easy to use. The yarn count is very similar to Wool Ease worsted and the two have been used together for several color knitting projects. I only wish they would expand the Touch of Alpaca color palette. I need more!
