Lion Brand Yarn Vanna's Palettes Yarn in Charming Shades Review

I liked that they were small and that the colors matched. I used them to crochet 4x4 squares. The only downside was that not all candies had the same amount of yarn. Some are too long and some not long enough to complete my square.

This package was supposed to be going to Stream Lee's little yard and it wasn't Alpaca as advertised, it was 100% acrylic but the balls of yarn were so small I used everything I needed ordered, returned $80. eight packs. The only good thing I would say is that everything was cellophane wrapped, sealed and kept clean which is important for yarn.

I like that they exist. I only used 5 colors in my project but having 3 small leftover skeins is way better than having 5 large skeins which I will probably never use. That being said, I would like them to be labeled with color names that match the patterns on LionBrand.com. However, I love using Vanna's palettes! Watch out for Filbert the Frog!

Yarn is too thick/heavy for specified weight. She's a bit hairy at first and gets MUCH worse the more you manipulate her. I'm really disappointed in the quality of this product - unfortunately I bought several different sets at once and opened them all up not realizing that they would be unlike any other decent yarn. I only give 2 stars because the colors are very pretty and mix well.

Good yarn for small projects. It's itchy but the colors are really good. Unfortunately, the strands (?) are very tiny. I originally bought 2 (iconic and earthy) for a duvet. Luckily I got a great discount on the first 2 from another site. I had to buy 4 more. I'm changing directions with my grandma's square quilt design so I don't have to buy more of these. I wish there was a way to buy the same colors in larger sizes. I am new to crocheting and want to buy yarn.

They are very small but I expected that. They fit in the palm of my hand. It looks like some reviewers were quite surprised by its small size, so be aware. That being said, I have a very small project I want to try, so this pack of tiny candies is perfect for my purpose.
