Door stays where you move it

You only need to install one of these. More resistance than I want with two loops. The door stays where it was manually moved. The pneumatic closer was removed when installing the hinge. Installation was easy

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Null

Door gets stuck in the frame after installation

Door does not close properly after installing the hinges and also opens during movement. I suspect this is because the screw heads have a larger head than the rivets on the original hinges.

Pros
  • Easy to use

Works great in parts

I bought these for our fifth wheel to make it a lot easier to get started. Before installation, the door was always cumbersome and I had to hold on to it when going up the stairs. Now I open the door as much or as little as I want and it stays where I let it. They take a little getting used to as the door is difficult to open or close, but after a while it feels normal.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some cons

Works as advertised and easy install

Pretty easy install and seems to work as promised. They go pretty well with the other loops. Installed on a 2020 Jayco Jayflight 284BHS. Didn't have to test in high winds but kids don't slam the door anymore anyway. ** Wind update: The wind is blowing at 19 mph today. Definitely not holding, but at least it's not banging. So not safe with 25 km/h wind.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but something was

Why did it take so long to make!

I've replaced a cheap plastic door latch several times on our trip. It never took many of them to break and I can understand why. Saw them on another RV and wish I had bought them years ago! No more locking mechanisms, no more wind worries, no more door damage. Easy to install with a few simple tools, they add "friction" to your door so it doesn't need anything else. It takes some time to get used to the new feel of the door, but it won't change for anything else.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Obsolete model
