Copy Cat MacAlister's Deli Sweet Tea

Thank you Lipton! If you live in the South East you may know that MacAlister's Deli has the BEST TEA sweet or unsweetened. I don't know if they use Lipton Tea in stores, but I've managed to perfect my homemade gallons of sweet teas to the point that even my family thinks it's from MacAlisters! Hot or cold tea, or even as tea in the sun. I did not find any brands in large packs. that come close to the perfect taste I get from Lipton bags. I use four bags per gallon as we all love strong tea…

Not like it used to be - floury - gross taste!

I have a Mr Coffee ice tea maker - I've had it for several years. The first box I received (my husband bought it a few years ago) was fine. Over time I bought two separate boxes at different times. I couldn't drink them! I've dropped every game I've made. At first I thought I was until my husband tried it. Then I thought it was a kettle (I bought a new one), no it wasn't. Then I thought maybe I have bad parts. Then I read all the comments about Lipton tea changes! WHY! Now it tastes terrible…

LOVE THESE GALLON SIZED TEA BAGS!

Just admitting my ridiculous laziness by opening 14 individually wrapped Lipton tea bags to make a gallon of iced tea and just own it! I realize it's actually not that hard to open tea bags, but for some crazy reason I just hate doing it! Which brings me to my review and my absolute love for these Gallon Size Lipton Ice Tea Bags! ❤️ When I discovered these Lipton tea bags, perfectly sized for making the PERFECT gallon of strong iced tea (which my family drinks in about 24 hours), I was so…

Lovely tea, big enough to easily make gallons at a time!

I live on this garbage. It made a good strong tea and I drink it every day. I've been using it for years and it can sometimes be awkward to catch it 'in the wild' at the supermarket, but using Revain is a huge saving for me. The pouches are large and designed to fit a large container, not a cup. That's fine as I make it in a large gallon container, chill and the iced tea is ready to drink. I don't drink soda (too sweet) but it tastes really good. You can steep it for the full 24 hours if you…

Disappointing for personal use

Part of this rating was my fault. I was looking for a larger tea bag for my ice tea pot. I like very strong tea so I thought a 1 gallon bag would work for me but there were a few issues with this product. The tea bag allows you to extract A LOT of ground. My first pot had so much tea leaves in it that I had to strain it twice. After that I had to use a coffee filter in addition to the bag to keep the grounds out. Although they played with the fortress several times, the tea always came out…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Maybe some people like very strong tea. c (with those gallon-sized bags), but I wouldn't recommend just making an even batch in a half-gallon pitcher of iced tea and just drinking it. I make them work by adding water instead of ice (after pouring less into the brewer). This helps "dilute" it a bit. But I also have 2 liter jars that I pour the first batch into and then restart the brewer (again using mostly water and just a little ice). It's STILL quite strong, but I hate sweet tea, so I add…

My Experience with Mr. Coffee 3 Quart. Ice Maker

I recently got Mr. Kaffee which has a 3 liter capacity. These tea bags were listed as a frequently purchased item with this product so I included the box. When I started using them, the tea was so cloudy and thick you could barely see the ice cubes in the glass. And that with weak brew strength on the teapot. However, since I had 45 of those packages left, I really wanted to find a way to get them to work. So I made a change. One change and the tea made from these tea bags went from almost…

Excellent tea. Convenient for a gallon-sized iced tea.

Lipton makes great iced tea. Don't waste your money on specialty ice teas. Their flavors are not suitable for this purpose. One gallon bags are perfect for tea, and after experimenting I've come to the conclusion that the best way to do this is to bring a little over a quart of water to a boil in a saucepan. Then turn off the burner and allow the water to cool for a few minutes. This eliminates the bitter taste that can come from tea when brewed while boiling. I see this error a lot and it just
