Great for Dip Pens & Ink Wash

Spilled a bottle of this during Inktober with quill pens. I also did some lines and washes. It worked great under many layers of watercolor. This is my first choice for pen drawings. Haven't tried it in my Rapidograph pens but I'm sure it will work fine in them. I also bought a set containing raw sienna, burnt sienna, and burnt umber to use with other line art and blurred art. So I wanted a pigment with a liquid consistency, and this one fits the bill. It's a bit of a luxury as using acrylic pigments is probably what most people do, but I haven't worked with resin very long and I can do anything to make…

Too thin for permanent markers, can be good for brush work

I write with different types of permanent markers and I usually prefer acrylic inks which are not very thick and not very runny. I've used Speedball Super pigmented acrylic ink in the past, which was perfect except that a few drops of water had to be added to the ink to adjust viscosity and flow. Liquitex is marketed as anhydrous so this time I tried this brand and was disappointed. The ink is too thin to be used with dip pens and the black isn't as dark as a lightly watered speedball. The…
