I hate T-handles: sockets and socket sets

I know, I know you have to use T-handles to keep them straight and stable, but most T-handles are total crap. Then there are times when you just can't get any further with a T-handle. These sockets made life easier in those days. I know there is some confusion about the country of origin, the package I received was made in the USA and all outlets had a US stamp.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Updates available

Another great tool from Lisle

I used a friend's kit as needed for a long time and ended up buying a set. They come in very handy in many places where you need to use a faucet but don't have room for a T-handle. If you didn't already know, don't use them on an impact driver or wrench - you'll almost certainly bust your tap, and yes, happy drilling. . . but when used correctly with a hand tool - a great product.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some little things

Genius Mechanic's Tools

T-handle wrenches are great when your parts are on the workbench and everything is available. Working with vehicles and mechanisms that are already assembled, drilling a hole or carving a new hole can be quite a challenge. Use your ratchet as a faucet handle with these handy sockets. I wouldn't use them if the situation didn't depend on them, I think the handles line up better. They are indispensable for hunting and tapping holes that are difficult to access.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Vanish

Winners, Threadin Dinner Winners.

I bought this set of Lisle 70500 and its older brother 70940. As a locksmith, I'm constantly chasing threaded holes or using light-weight screwdrivers or other square-shank tools. They are excellent for this purpose. They are of course ideal for tap shanks. But the various simple sockets we use also work just as well. Anyone who deals with square tools will benefit from this. By the way, faucets have an O-ring inside that prevents the faucet from falling out. Nice gesture.

These are amazing hand tools

I have a snap on set and I overpaid for it, it's the same snap on set that is on sale but at a fraction of the price. If you've ever used taps before you realized how heavy the whole tool is, and if you use a ratchet head to turn the tap, you'll find that the square end of the tap will soon destroy your head. I highly recommend this tool as it fits snugly onto the tap shank and is held in place with an o-ring and is extremely useful for hand threading/tapping. This tool will complement any…

Just great! - Hand Tool

This is just perfection. For threading or cutting anything that isn't critical in terms of a perpendicular line, it's just amazing. Speed up the process and perfect threads in places with no gap for a longer faucet handle! I often use a puller to get stuck in molds with cast aluminum. I just use a drill and stuff. Inserting for the squeegee cords is a lot quicker than trying to put a faucet handle in there, and using a socket extender helps with clearance. Chasing thread - it's just perfect…

Incorrect construction possible

These things should get five solid stars. At work we often use large sizes. Heavy industrial maintenance of hydroelectric power plants. I recently bought a set for my home shop as they have proven to be durable in industrial settings. When I received them and tried the smaller sockets #1-4, I found that the square part that keeps the taps from turning in the sockets was very finely machined. Only about 1/16 inch of the faucet is gripped. I then checked the sets at work and some have this…

Tools must be! fits sockets and socket sets

This fantastic tool makes it easy to cut new threads or clean damaged/dirty threads. Especially in hard-to-reach places where the T-handle doesn't fit. I struggled between these socket adapters and the extended T-handle and am glad I chose this set. getting the right height Starting the carving square with a ratchet is a bit tricky, but not a big deal if you take your time in the beginning. running a tap in/out makes it much easier. Haven't tried starting new threads with a power tool - a…
