Not made in the USA. Made in Taiwan

I saw a review that said they were made in the USA but when I received my package it said Made in Taiwan (bottom left corner of photo) . Too bad they are no longer made in the USA.

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • Protection

Orange instead of blue as shown

No idea why Revain rejected my first review; For some reason they never tell you why. On this second try, let me say that I did my best to avoid the orange scrapers and still got the orange scrapers.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons

By the way, they are great for these

Amazingly useful tools. I bought them to remove old putty from the roof of a van. By the way, they do a great job with it. I often use them for other purposes as well. They hold up pretty well although you may need to re-edge them from time to time. Too bad I bought something like this a long time ago.

Ideal for removing caulk from trim on vans

I repair vans for a living and they are great for removing caulk from trim and putty from under trim for resealing or cleaning for reinstallation after a collision repair or dry rot repair, they sharpen very well. I use wet sandpaper 320 then 600 on the block and wet sand them until they are sharp again.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons

Works perfectly! - Tire repair tools

Ideal for removing emblems with double-sided tape without scratching the surface. Simply heat a little around the emblem with a heat gun, then stick a chisel behind the emblem and pry it off. Then heat the remaining tape and use the same chisel to scrape it off until you have enough to remove the residue with the adhesive remover. After that, I will remove all ghosts from the tape using Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and medicinal alcohol.

Pros
  • Slim design

Disappointing - appears to be the same as cheaper versions

Package delivered contained orange chisels made in Taiwan. I called Lisle customer service to find out what was going on and they told me yes they are orange and yes they are made in Taiwan. In fact, I paid a premium for the incorrect product description, hoping to uphold the "buy made in America" principle. New chisels are sharp. If I find that they are actually more durable than the cheap ones I will change my rating.

Great for reuse, durable, inexpensive, but there's a catch

Lisle makes some great specialty car tools. My grandfather was a former Seabee Navy mechanic and after World War II he opened and owned his own repair shop from 1948 to 1988 when he died. He had MANY dedicated Lisle instruments and always loved them and compared them to Snap On. The pros and cons of this chisel set are listed below: Pros: Much stronger than Sino's orange chisels which chip and break. Ideal for removing motorcycle registration stickers from bike license plates, inspection and…

The end turned out to be almost U-shaped - see photo

Bought to remove the transmission pan on a 4 year old Mazda 3. I read a review from a person who used this particular set for the same application. He began to tear off the pan from the gear case with a chisel with the smallest blade, after 5 hits with a rubber mallet it completely lost its sharpness, after the third hit the middle part of the chisel began to fall off, and the edges remained intact. The edges can only take 2 more hits with moderate power. When I put this in, the end was quite…
