Good but not quite as advertised

I really liked this lamp as a table lamp when I bought it 2 years ago and recently decided to buy another one. A link from my previous purchase led me to this lamp which looks the same as the one I previously purchased in the photo but it's not exactly the same. To help anyone who decides to purchase this lamp in the future and expects it to be as shown in the picture (or to match one previously purchased), here are the differences. Great lamp, suitable for lighting and ceiling fans

Just bought this lamp I am very happy with the purchase so far. The lamp is very clean and looks great on any wooden table or dark background. I was pleasantly surprised that the lamp has two adjustable light modes, one slightly dimmer and one brighter when more light is needed. The lamp is very suitable for small rooms and gives the room a pleasant light. When reading newspapers or books, the lamp does not distract. IF YOUR LAMP DOESN'T WORK OR DOESN'T WORK WHEN YOU RECEIVED IT, READ THIS

got light, first it worked then just 1 week later the toggle switch died in the on position. Now the only way to use the lamp was to leave it unplugged until I needed it. Today (10/26/21) I decided that something must be wrong inside. I found a Phillips head screw. I unscrewed it and removed the bottom part to see the wiring inside. There was a plastic plug.
