Steam-a-Seam 2

I quilt. I like making art objects that need to be applied. I use Steam-a-Seam 2 for raw edge appliquΓ©s. I can guarantee that an item made from different pieces of fabric using Steam-a-Seam 2 will remain attached to the main fabric after many washes. Pieces of fabric simply do not peel off and do not crumble at the edges.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

Best product for patchwork applique

This really is the best product for the new style of iron-on (not needle sew) quilt applique. After ironing from one side to the wrong side of your fabric and peeling off one side of the paper, it will be sticky so you can move your pieces around until you're done with your project. then iron for permanent placement. Pellon or any other fog fuse manufacturer cannot do this! Steaming the seam is what you need!

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Something different

Much better than my last order!

The last time I ordered a Steam-A-Seam II I had a lot of problems. This time I ordered Steam-A-Seam II Lite. Everything was mostly smooth this time, not everything bubbled like last time. There are still a few blisters, but they're easily fixed by gently lifting the back and replacing. It prints easily on my printer so I don't have to hand draw all parts of the applique. I didn't get a pinprick this time either. Last time I had to constantly clean the needle on the sewing machine with alcohol…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
