We installed this fan on our covered outdoor patio. When the awning went down in the fall I removed the fan and put it away for the winter. I accidentally forgot the remote control receiver and although it was covered in plastic it got wet and ruined. I called Litex to find out how to order/purchase a new receiver. Nice fan, quiet but as other reviewers have noted scratches the finish easily so care needs to be taken when installing. Nothing that could be fixed with a little touch-up with a permanent marker. Blades difficult to balance. Shakes at high speed. After installing the weights it works a little better, but still not 100%, normal at medium speed. A few years ago my wife bought a Kitebridge fan online for our gazebo and paid $$$$ for it. We really liked it, but the glass ball is quite large and works well on a 9 foot ceiling or higher.
