My rack is 4-3/4 inches wide. The velcro straps on the bag, when tightened, do not have enough opposing velcro (see image) to secure the bag. So I had to send back, I don't sew, and adding velcro would cost too much. If you have a post wide enough for the velcro I have included a picture of my post, I find it fairly standard

This item is perfect! When unfolded, it holds a lot of stuff, enough for daily trips, and holds bungee (to attach during transport). The space you get when the bag is unfolded is unrealistic! Love how versatile it is. Attaches well to the bike and I don't worry about it while riding. I take it off when transporting the bike by car, just in case. The included rain cover at the bottom of the bag is a clutch! Very satisfied, I recommend to anyone who asks for it.

The bag seems really good value for money. The stitching and construction seem strong enough for easy use. However, there is one design flaw that disappoints me. There are 2 straps on the bottom to attach it to the bike rack and not enough velcro to attach it securely. Velcro should be a few inches higher on the strap. This pannier has it all! I love how it can store whatever you want to take with you on the bike. So many compartments for everything. The size is perfect, not too big and not too small.
