Description of πŸ”© LMT Onsrud Uncoated Carbide Diameter

Solid carbide tools offer long tool life and faster cutting speeds than other substrates, but are more brittle and must be used with rigid toolholding systems. Uncoated tools feature just the base substrate without any additional treatment or coatings and are suitable for a wide range of applications. Round shanks allow use with a wide variety of toolholding systems. When run in a counterclockwise direction (right-hand cut) spiral fluted tools evacuate chips up and out of the cut to reduce clogging. Single flute, 21 degree angle.

I just hope I don't do anything stupid and break it

I broke my regular spiralizer by 1/8 inch so I used this O-Nut to clean the faces of the shield I made have. Other things being equal, the edges have become much cleaner Less fluff is removed I used to use this cutter exclusively for plastic, but now I also order wood I hope I can do it, don't do anything stupid and break it much more expensive.

Pros

Not my favorite tool but they work better at high speeds (30

Use them at work cutting aluminum on a router table. Other. We buy 50 each and run them on oil mist and air until they break up spray so things don't stick together Not my favorite tool, but they work better at the high speeds (30,000+ RPM) our spindles spin than anything else.

I just hope I don't do something stupid and break it

I broke my regular 1/8" spiralizer so I used this O-nut to cut the flats to clean the sign made of pine. Other things being equal, the edges have become much cleaner. Less lint. I used to use this nozzle exclusively for plastic, now I order it for wood too. I just hope I don't do anything stupid and break it .it is much more expensive.

Pros
  • Round shanks allow for a variety of tool holding systems
Cons
  • Crumpled

Not my favorite tool, but they work better at high speeds (30

Use them at work to cut aluminum router tables They work well, dimensional consistency and cut edge quality can vary greatly from batch to batch. We buy 50 at a time and run them until they break, using oil mist and air spray to keep things from sticking together. Not my tool of choice, but they work better than anything else at the high speeds (30,000+ RPM) that our spindles spin.

Pros
  • Uncoated tools have just a basic base with no additional machining or coating and are good for a variety of applications
Cons
  • Non-automatic
