RELIABLE ADHESION. Works on all metals, including passive substrates (e.g. stainless steel, aluminum, plated surfaces) with improved oil tolerance. REMOVABLE WITH HEAT. Designed for securing parts that must withstand heavy shock, vibration, or extreme chemical or environmental conditions. Localized heating and hand tools are required to separate parts. TYPICAL APPLICATIONS Assembly with air tools, cylinder block bolts, ring gear bolts, transmission shaft bolts. CONVENIENT CURING. Sets in just 10 minutes & is fully cured in 24 hours. LOCTITE 263 is ideal for as received fasteners up to 1" (25 mm) in size.

Better than 271 for putty, adhesives and sealants

Works much better than the 271 I usually use. It's oil resistant and when I tested it with a torque wrench it was about 10-20% stronger than the 271.

Super strong protection for my catalytic converter

My catalytic converter (KAT) was almost stolen. Some thick, sturdy metal clamps and mesh have been added to either side of the CAT to prevent encores. Used red Loctite on the collar threads. I have tested this several times. I can't remove props unless I've just finished a long ride (which makes CAT and props hot). Highly recommended.
