Frying Basket with Folding Handle

I love this basket because the handle can be folded into the basket, it takes up less space and is more compact. Lodge has some good products and this is one of them. I love making french fries while camping!

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Operating Speed

Very well made, suitable for the kitchen and dining room

This frying basket is very durable and well made. I'm sure I'll be using it for many years to come. It's perfect for my cast-iron Dutch Oven, which I like to fry in, because the deep walls prevent the oil from splattering everywhere. The price was so good too! I highly recommend this basket.

Air Fry basket for my Breville Wave 3-1

Finding the right size basket for the Breville Wave 3-1 was almost impossible. After checking and re-checking the specs, I ordered this. Simply remove the handle, place it on the Wave pan and you're done. It also fits most of my Griswold cast iron stoves. Well made and will last for years.

  • Cool

  • Some errors

Is that really from the Lodge?

I own a lot of Lodge cast iron cookware and I expect the highest quality from this brand. So I was very surprised at the horribly poor quality of this fryer basket. It's made from ultra-thin metals poorly soldered to a frame with an ugly finish that's already showing signs of chipping. Looks toxic. Like other reviewers I thought it might be a false disguise as a lodge but apparently that's how they are made now!

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Sad packaging

I love using this basket with my Dutch Oven for cooking.

I love using this basket with my Dutch Oven to make homemade or British style fries. The basket is pretty stable. I love that the handle can be folded up and tucked away in a Dutch Oven storage basket when needed. The only downside is that I wish the wire mesh cross hatch was a bit smaller in the design. Sometimes my fries slip when I cut them a bit small, I just have to be more careful with my knife skills.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Not bad

Too tight to compress --oops!

This basket is of the high quality you have come to expect from Lodge. However, it has a design flaw that they need to fix. The bridge between the tweezers prevents removal with normal force by squeezing the tweezers. It was supposed to be removable, at least for me, so I used a hacksaw to cut out the first part of the plastic wrap. It's still tough, but manageable. I may eventually remove the remaining mesh. This would remove the only place Lodge could put its name tag, so I don't expect any…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

The lodge's only potty basket.

If you have a cottage pan, this basket is for you. (I bought both sizes.) I gave it 5 stars despite having to lightly tighten the handle's folding/locking mechanism to my liking with large channel lock pliers. The pot hanging clip also needed some adjustment. (I'm a little picky.) It's important to remember that the butter should be at least 2-3 inches below the rim. The larger the volume and moisture content of the food, the more space you'll need to contain the bubbling oil. Carefully lower…
