Poor quality

These pencils are of very poor quality. Lead is very hard, the color is uneven and if you add water, the color will wash out. On the other hand, they are cheap. Maybe they are suitable for children who just want to play with them. However, they will not work for most people.

Good for beginners

It's a decent product but I'd say it's only really good for beginners. Because the mines are very hard and you have to work more with the paper. I've tried various techniques, my favorite being the wet pencil brush before painting, which seems to work best for this product. Overall not bad considering the price. I think if you're starting out and unsure about investing in watercolor, this is a great place to start. If you use them, I would suggest getting a Lowe Cornell Simply Art palette and…

Great watercolor pencils for beginners at a great price.

I have a set of these pencils and I really like them. I bought these because I wanted to experiment with watercolor pencils without spending a lot of money to see if I enjoy using them. This set is perfect for that! Obviously these are not artist pens. You can't expect them to work as high quality media. However, their colors are rich and vibrant and blend beautifully with water.
