Unfortunately I am currently having a problem with bed bugs. This light has a bright wide beam to locate these suckers. It has a solid aluminum body - not cheap plastic. How much do I like it? I bought a second one because I like it! acceptable price.

I live in an area where Scorpios are common. After getting stung in my house, I started using black lights to test them. I've tried several UV flashlights and this is the only one that's powerful enough that I can see it from 50 feet or more. The picture shows a close-up of the scorpion, but I actually saw it from across the courtyard.

We have just adopted a 10 year old dog who is having a hard time learning not to pee in the house. There was one spot in my room that I couldn't find, so this UV flashlight proved very useful for finding urine and other types of stains. I'm very surprised at how strong this little thing is. During the day, the spots are clearly visible even in sunlight. The build quality also seems to be very good. It's all metal and has a good weight.

This arrived literally 30 minutes after yesterday's order. And there are already results! We have a puppy and a brand new rug that we need to keep the house from falling down. We have used Miracle of Nature (Enzyme) in accidents. Apparently the thing worked! I found a few combs that we missed and the backlight caught them (even slightly during the day). After reading the positive reviews, I was happy about it, but was immediately disappointed. The only thing visible in this flashlight was small fluff. I tested it on dog/cat urine stains and it showed literally nothing. Coincidentally, my dog decided to pee in front of the door. I took photos to show that the light shows no urine at all. You think your house is clean, get one of these! lol It points out all the places you will miss with the naked eye. It's dog drool in the 3rd photo. Now I can clean walls and carpets with confidence. It works great and makes a big difference. It's heavy and very well made. It's also pretty fun when you have fluorescent things because they make them glow cool and bright. I've tried several of these types of UV flashlights over the past few years. They're either cheaply made or the LEDs are "this side of purple", making them less useful for detecting objects in the UV spectrum. This flashlight appears to use LEDs closer to 390-395nm. single part assembly is ok; this is not "Maglite", but again there is no such price.
