Works almost perfectly!

This is the first time I'm using a tool like this and when I just followed the instructions it worked but just a few issues that aren't that important but implemented as improvements could become ; 1. The "trim spacer" could be improved as it just lifts the corner clamp 3/4" off the base so the moldings don't touch the base. So when you finally put the first V-nail in, the beveled ones will bend Edges of molding down as there is no support underneath. A small rubber pad must be used for thisโ€ฆ

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some errors

Great house frame carpentry machine

For a home framing machine this nailer is a pretty good option when joining bevels. The operation is quite simple, and if you pay attention to the details, the nails drive in quite cleanly. The magnetic plunger is also very useful for nail positioning. You may find that it takes a little practice to ensure your nails are driven fully into the wood, but once you get the hang of it it should be easy. However, the size of the machine is somewhat limiting. A 45 degree clamp will hold a workpiece up

Good device

I read a lot of negative reviews about this product. I have the same problems with this carpenter as many others who are complaining. But with a little practice I find it a good product. Don't expect perfect curves right away - it takes practice. Most complaints are that the front stretches out and leaves a gap as you push the V-nails back. The reason is the lack of support under the frame and there is an easy fix for that. Make a simple gusset out of two pieces of the same scrap frame material
