Great replacement for old IDE modules. 20-pin or 24-pin customizable.

Good: 20+4 configurable, can remove 4 by unplugging 20.4 Molex connectors (old IDE) Floppy connector 2 SATA connectors (not required for my PC) Sufficient cable length Power 480 watts. Cons: flimsy housing, Molex connectors are cheaply made, metal clips dangle in connector, you have to hold the wires properly to match the pins on the receiver. Not as quiet as some reviewers think. My PSU complained for a while on startup, then stopped turning off when I told the computer to shut down. Then…

Inexpensive fan power supply with ball bearing

The LOGISYS PS480E12 power supply is a standard ATX power supply and can be used as a replacement for power supplies in most DIY mainframe PCs. Please note that this power supply does not have a 6-pin graphics card power connector (some performance-hungry graphics cards require this connector). So if you need it, take a look at the Logisys Corp. 120mm Ball Bearing Fan. 550W with ATX 550 power supply PS550E12BK, black instead. GOOD: + Features a 120mm double ball bearing fan (verified by fan…

It's definitely not gold plated

This power supply is great for simple applications and low power graphics cards. As mentioned in other reviews it only has 2 SATA connectors and they are on the same cable and fairly close together which makes things difficult when you have a large case and the optical drive is more than a few inches away from your hard drive . Luckily I had a Molex to SATA adapter so I didn't have to worry. The pins on the motherboard connector are also fairly short, so if you have a full-size case you'll need

Very bad design is best in internal components

Wouldn't buy or recommend this power supply again. Output voltages, residual ripple on average 30-50 mV at all output voltages. DC busbars for 3, 5 and 12 volts. The power supply introduces a large amount of radio frequency interference into the AC power line. There is no input filtering on the AC input. I highly doubt that the power rating is 480W as this PSU is feather light. On the other hand, the fan is very quiet and the DC output short circuit protection works well. The components appear…

Look for a cheap power supply.

My new $150 HTPC build didn't need a beefy PSU, so I spent $18 on this one. Setup went smoothly (AMD Athlon 5150 APU / MSI AM1I / Crucial 4GB Sport DDR3 memory / Thermaltake Core V1 case / Logisys 480W power supply / Seagate 200GB HD - I had the old one lying around) It works well, cool and quiet, so far so good. I'll update this review over time if anything comes up, but for a low-power (25W) APU, this PSU seems to fit the bill very well. Update: July 14, 2015 - 7 months later it went out of…

Inexpensive PSU

Very adequate power for a typical tower pc (some people try to sell us way more than they need, compare factory shipped units to aftermarket units to determine your real needs) More power than necessary there will not be delivered! improve productivity. This power supply has enough Molex connectors (4-pin) as well as SATA power connectors for most typical machines. The cable length is good, there are enough mainboard connections, the fan is quiet enough, the real deal. Can't confirm durability…
