Description of 🎭 Tactical Helmet Parts: L4G24 L4G19 NVG Mount - 100% Plastic for Night Vision Cosplay - PVS15 PVS18 GPNVG18 - No Function - Black DE

The G24 has the famous Wilcox breakaway feature that provides the wearer the protection from neck or head injury. This NVG Mounting System is unique that it provides two modes of operation. The first mode allows the mount to “break away” from the base under a stressed condition such as getting snagged during fast roping or hitting a hard object when entering or exiting a vehicle or building. With this breakaway feature serious neck injuries and equipment damage can be minimized or avoided. The second mode allows the Universal NVG Mount to securely lock the mount to the base. Material: plastic . Attach NVG dummy like PVS15 / 18 . DUMMY for cosplay only.

It's VERY hard to use, but it works (?)

It took a while to assemble. I have simulated PVS15 goggles and they didn't set up properly unless they were actually backwards. It was very strange, but in the end they hit it off. Very cheap feel and difficult to maneuver but I think they did the job. I'd rather spend more next time.

Pros
  • Builds confidence
Cons
  • Something's wrong

The mount is polymer so there is little play.

This mount is good for the price but know what you get I wouldn't use it with anything valuable, mainly for night vision dolls or cosplay. I love the fact that it comes with a dovetail to attach to your device and it should be in the marketing as that alone is worth the purchase.

Pros
  • There's something there
Cons
  • Negative impression

Get the full metal

unless for some reason you are planning to mount something on this mount then of course for the looks it will do. Even my copy of the night vision goggle, which weighs less than a pound, wobbles on this mount. Adjustments are also canceled within a short time. 2 stars overall because I wish I had just bought a metal one for only $40 more. Save time and money.

Pros
  • delivery was very fast
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Not what I expected.

At first glance, this adapter might seem like a good deal considering most of the manufacturer's other adapters sell for over $40. However, the mountain itself is very thin. I tried wearing it with my GPNVGs and it felt like the mount was coming loose. This can work to simulate NVD installs, but don't expect functionality from them with real NVGs or in combat situations (running, jumping).

  • Availability
Cons
  • For the old

Doesn't seem stable

The function and purpose of the product does the right thing, so it's suitable for mounting dummy night vision goggles, but the material is all plastic, so there are problems. First, when the product is cut so that the glasses are over the head, it wobbles a bit and feels unstable. When I attach it to my helmet it can easily pop out of the mount as the little plastic button doesn't even stick out long enough to be glued on.

Pros
  • Worth your money
Cons
  • Speed

If you want cheap, get cheap.

The problem I'm having is that the two "Modes" (Tear off and Locked) don't work exactly. What I mean is that when the locking tab is set to "pull off", it doesn't go high enough to hold the mount to the helmet. When set to 'locked', it barely lifts enough to latch (functions as 'pull-off' mode). Comparing this to a real NVG mount, the tab that engages rises much higher for a secure latch. I still gave it three stars because it's a cosplay costume and I can attach it to the helmet with screws…

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Damaged

Works great with a simple modification!

Other reviews are correct. This will not hold true night vision goggles. But a simple modification works just as well as a VERY expensive real steel version. Just buy a quality quick release mount for your helmet. Height adjustment and loosen the two front screws. The front screws don't come out without some work. I just left them inside. The gorilla then glued this mount to a nice quick connector. Make sure it's straight and level. A video of the mod will be posted to the Adirondack Rangers…

Pros
  • Hard wearing finish
Cons
  • Fragile

Incredibly cheap mount. BUY ANOTHER HOLDER!

DO NOT BUY THIS MOUNT! Seriously, get one of the more expensive ones! I was incredibly excited to finally be able to use some (albeit fake) airsoft night vision goggles, but I am absolutely disappointed in the cheap quality of this mount. When I got the fake mount glasses, it started to shake with the MOCK NVG due to its very poor stability. This thing broke within two weeks of purchase after pulling on the glasses a bit while they were in the "up" position. It also accidentally detached from…

  • Good product for the price
