🔧 Lokar ED-5004 Engine Dipstick with Enhanced Flexibility Review

Excellent quality and very easy installation. A must when installing long pipeheads. I spent a lot of time bending the original tube and putting it back into the block until I finally broke it. Installs this in about 15 minutes.

I have a rebuilt Ford Ranger V8 with a double sump and the original position of the timing cover does not give an accurate reading. This probe turned out to be just what I needed. Its low profile design fits perfectly between the driver's side header pipes and looks great!

Aftermarket titles can get you in trouble. I almost couldn't fit mine due to gap issues. It touched the exhaust a bit, and the manual says not to. So after 2 hours I managed to clear it but it was leaning towards the firewall and it's difficult to check the oil now but it's manageable. If you don't have standard headers, the installation will be problematic.

I have a couple of vintage Ford F-150 trucks to work with. These are great trucks, but they do have a few pesky problems, one of which is the dipstick tube rusting where it goes through the exhaust manifold. . This happens every 3-5 years and is very difficult to replace without removing the oil pan which is also an extremely difficult task (on 4WD vehicles).
