Sleek little screen

It took me a while to figure out I had to peel off the sticky substance to reveal the black plastic. There are no assembly instructions, but I managed it. Couldn't get the touch drivers to work so I just downloaded a pre-configured Ubuntu Mate with drivers from their website. Worked! Added a battery pack to make it fully wireless. Great screen for projects.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Not the best

Good device, without protection for Raspberry Pi

This is a good device and easy to assemble, but it does not provide any protection for the Raspberry Pi. There is no cover on the top, bottom or sides and the Pi is only held on to the board by the GPIO pins. Multiple sides and a screw can be used to prevent the Pi from coming loose. The touchscreen software also made changes to the boot.txt file that prevented it from rebooting. It took some time to find the errors made in boot.txt.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Works great in computers and accessories

Screen works perfectly. However, the instructions for installing the driver did not work for me. I pasted the following instructions into the config.txt below, saved and closed. Everything worked, even the touchscreen from the first start. I tried this on Raspbian OS and Kali Linux. Nothing else is needed. ,pmax=255,xohms=150,xmin=200,xmax=3900,ymin=200,ymax=3900display_rotate=0

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Great product but workmanship can be disappointing

The transaction was smooth and easy. However, no assembly instructions were included with the kit. I had to go to the pictures where there were very general building instructions and they didn't help much. There was some guesswork during construction.

Pros
  • Build quality is embarrassing

Screen is good, case is junk

First the good: the screen is very good. The stylus (included) works well and the image it produces is good. The Bad: The included "instructions" are useless, and the cheap plastic case broke trying to peel off the protective film. Also, the parts that make up the frame were the wrong size and the screen/PCB didn't fit together. This piece also broke when I tried to insert the screen. In the end I just threw the suitcase away.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Annoying

Good box, no security for Raspberry Pi

Nice box, easy to assemble but does not provide security for Raspberry Pi. There is no cover on the top, bottom or sides and the Pi is only powered by the GPIO Pins held on board. Multiple sides and a screw can be used to prevent the Pi from coming loose. The touchscreen software also made changes to the boot.txt file that prevented it from rebooting. It took some time to find the errors made in boot.txt.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • Security

Great screen but beware:

This small screen is perfect for my needs as a small monitor on a Windows based media server that I keep in the corner and usually just away. I connected via HDMI. It's great for me, but as others have pointed out, it doesn't come with instructions on how to use it and especially how to assemble the base. So you must be someone who doesn't mind / has the patience to tinker around / surf the web until you figure it out. If only it had come with more detailed instructions it would have given 5…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Nothing

Bought for my Ender 3 3D printer to use with a Raspberry Pi with Octoprint and Touch UI. The drivers absolutely refused to install unless the desktop environment was present. This consumes CPU and RAM that don't need to be used. Then the touch UI still refused to load. Loading the touchscreen drivers also completely disabled my onboard bluetooth, causing my bluetooth keyboard to stop working. I ended up dropping the touch drivers and running the octo print interface through the chrome web…

Pros
  • delivery was very fast
Cons
  • crumpled
